CHALLENGE: One of the world’s most innovative Tech companies, Microsoft, is constantly looking for bright new minds that will make an impact on their team. In order to keep their reputation as one of the most popular operating systems in the world, they are constantly bringing in new people that offer fresh perspectives. In today’s market, all Tech companies are competing to find ‘the next big thing.’ To attract and retain talented candidates, Microsoft Office needed to separate their approaches from the “traditional” approaches offered by their competition. They needed a recruitment marketing partner that could embody their refreshed Brand image. This marketing partner needed to have a personality and perspective that could resonate with their audience and effectively grow their candidate pool.

SOLUTION: Having over 20 years of recruitment marketing experience, the team at RocketDog was hired to create refreshing marketing solutions that connected with prospective candidates. In order to be successful, this campaign needed to take an integrated approach while bringing consistency to the messaging. The messaging needed to highlight the creativity that flows throughout the Microsoft Office group. We accomplished this integrated campaign by taking a new approach that focused all communication on the core language that is used to portray the personality of the Microsoft Office group. The core words used were Join, Spark, Challenge and Achieve. We created an entire suite of campaign deliverables; this included content, online banners, email templates, standardized job descriptions, event collateral and other collateral.

This content got people excited about the initiative and changed individual’s perception of what it means to work int he Office Group inside of Microsoft. At RocketDog, we believe that Brands can shine when they utilize integrated campaigns to provide consistent brand messaging to their audience.
